Joel Seagraves Swafford was born in 1846 in Tennessee, and died in 1919 in Missouri. He married Margaret Hedrick, and they had 6 children. He fought in the American Civil War in the 2nd Regiment, Missouri Light Artillery; which was a Union unit.

Do you know who his parents were? I have him married to Martha J. SWAFFORD, daughter of John Calvin & Mary Ellen (SHIRLEY) SWAFFORD. This from a correspondent many years ago without documentation.
